Photographs flatten a rug. Color, pile, weave and weight all read differently once the thing is on the floor in front of you, which is why the gallery is set up to be walked through rather than browsed. Compare a few. Ask what separates them.
Selections have included Persian, Turkish, Afghan, Pakistani and Indian rugs, from runners and flatweaves to silk, room-size and oversized pieces.
